Maria Bartiromo born on September 11th, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York is a famous business news anchor and a well-known feature writer for numerous business magazines and journals.
Maria Bartiromo grew up in the Bay Ridge region of South Brooklyn. While pursuing her high school studies, Maria worked as a coat checker at her parents' Italian restaurant. She later graduated in Journalism with a minor in economics from New York University. Soon after her graduation, Maria Bartiromo joined CNN Business News in 1988. For the first eight or nine months as an intern she learnt all the basics and secrets of news anchoring on television. Bartiromo was finally hired full time by the CNN where she worked for five years on their business news as a writer, assignment editor and producer.
Having gained enough experience at CNN, Maria Bartiromo later joined CNBC in 1993. She became the anchor for CNBC's "Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo" that is aired from Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 5 pm. Besides being a TV anchor for "Closing Bell",she was also the host and managing editor of "Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo" which is a nationally syndicated financial, business and economic news program produced by CNBC with the inputs from the editors of The Wall Street Journal. "Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo" is known for its in-depth analysis and insights on the goings-on at the Wall Street. This 30-minute weekly program anchored by Bartiromo has become the most watched business and financial news program in America. Since 1995, she has been anchoring a live program called "Squawk Box" reporting live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. As CNBC's TV anchor, she quickly became a national phenomenon with her powerful presentation of TV news.
